By accessing and using LensText (lenstext.in), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and that you agree to comply with these Terms in their entirety.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

LensText provides a suite of free, browser-based digital utility tools including but not limited to: Optical Character Recognition (OCR), AI Background Removal, Image Compression and Resizing, PDF Merge, PDF Split, PDF Password Protection and Unlocking, PDF Watermarking, PDF to Image Conversion, Favicon Generation, QR Code Generation, Privacy Sanitizer (EXIF Removal), Text Diff Checker, Text Analyzer, Case Converter, GIF Maker, and Screen Recorder.

A core feature of the Service is that all file processing occurs entirely within your web browserusing WebAssembly (WASM) and JavaScript. Your files, documents, and images are never uploaded to LensText's servers. LensText does not store, transmit, or process your personal files in the cloud.

3. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree:

• Not to use the Service to process, reproduce, or distribute any content that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Not to use the Service to process copyrighted material for which you do not hold the rights to use.
• Not to attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or damage the Service or any server, network, or system connected to it.
• Not to use the Service to process material that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Not to use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service in a way that could harm or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
• Not to misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content: The Service, including its original content (blog posts, text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and software), is the intellectual property of TM SoftTech and its licensors, and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

Your Content: Because all file processing occurs locally in your browser, you retain full ownership of all files, documents, and data that you process using the Service. LensText makes no claim of ownership over your files.

Open Source Libraries: LensText's functionality is powered by several open-source libraries (including Tesseract.js, pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, and ONNX Runtime). These libraries are used in accordance with their respective open-source licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, etc.).

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LENSTEXT EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or completely secure.
• Any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the output produced by the Service's tools (e.g., the accuracy of OCR-extracted text, the quality of background removal).

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any output before relying on it for important decisions.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TM SOFTTECH, LENSTEXT, ITS FOUNDERS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Damages resulting from your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service.
• Damages resulting from any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.

8. Advertising

LensText may display third-party advertisements served by advertising networks, including Google AdSense. These advertisements are how we fund the free provision of our Service.

We are not responsible for the content of advertisements displayed on the Service. You acknowledge that clicking on third-party advertisements will direct you away from LensText to third-party websites, and your interactions with those sites are governed by their own terms and policies.

LensText complies with the Google AdSense Program Policies and the Better Ads Standards. We do not display intrusive ad formats (such as pop-ups or auto-play audio ads) that violate these standards.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and confirm your understanding that all file processing occurs entirely locally on your device and that no files or documents are ever uploaded to our servers.

LensText reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof), temporarily or permanently, with or without notice, at any time. This includes the right to remove, add, or change any tool, feature, or functionality.

LensText shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service or any part thereof.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which LensText operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
