Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2026. LensText is committed to protecting your privacy. All file processing happens locally in your browser — your data never leaves your device.
This Privacy Policy describes how TM SoftTech ("TM SoftTech," "we," "us," or "our"), as the official developer and operating organization of LensText (accessible at lenstext.in), handles and safeguards information when you use our website, tools, and digital services. Please read this policy carefully. Last updated: June 26, 2026.
1. Client-Side Processing — Your Files Never Leave Your Device
LensText is built on a foundational privacy principle: zero uploads. All of our core tools—including Optical Character Recognition (OCR), AI Background Removal, Image Compression, PDF Merge, PDF Protect, Diff Checker, Text Analyzer, GIF Maker, and Screen Recorder—operate entirely within your web browser.
When you select or open a file with LensText, that file is loaded into your device's local memory (RAM) and processed using WebAssembly (WASM) and JavaScript running inside your browser sandbox. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted over the network, or stored on any server operated by TM SoftTech, LensText, or any third party. We do not have the technical capability to access, view, or retain the contents of your documents, images, or other files.
You can verify this yourself by opening your browser's Developer Tools (press F12), navigating to the Network tab, and monitoring activity while using any LensText tool. You will observe zero outgoing POST requests containing your file data.
2. Information We Collect
Because LensText operates entirely client-side, we do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide personal identification information to use our tools.
2a. Analytics Data
We may use standard, industry-accepted web analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data. This may include:
- The pages you visit on our website and the time you spend on each page.
- Your general geographic region (country or city level, derived from IP address).
- Your browser type and operating system.
- The referring website that sent you to LensText.
- Interaction events (e.g., which tools are used most frequently).
This analytics data is used solely to understand how our site is used, to identify popular features, and to improve the user experience. It is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
2b. Contact Information
If you contact us voluntarily via email (e.g., to report a bug or request a feature), we will retain your email address and message content solely to respond to your inquiry. This information is not used for marketing and is not shared with any third party.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
LensText may use the following types of browser-based storage:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: Used to maintain basic site functionality (e.g., remembering your session preferences). These cannot be disabled without impacting site performance.
- Preference Storage (localStorage): We may store your UI preferences (such as theme selection, last-used tool settings) in your browser's localStorage. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Analytics Cookies: Third-party analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics) may set cookies to measure aggregated site traffic. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Advertising Cookies: If we display advertisements via third-party networks (such as Google AdSense), those networks may place cookies on your device to deliver personalized ads based on your prior browsing history. See Section 4 for more details.
4. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)
LensText may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and the Google Display Network. These advertisements help us cover the costs of hosting and development so that we can offer our tools for free.
Google AdSense uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and web beacons to serve ads that are relevant to your interests based on your prior visits to our website and other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting:
- Google Ads Settings
- aboutads.info (for the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out)
- youronlinechoices.eu (for European users)
We do not share any personal data about our users with Google AdSense for the purpose of ad targeting. The advertising targeting is based on cookies and browsing data managed entirely by Google.
5. GDPR Rights (European Economic Area Users)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:
- Right to Access: You have the right to request copies of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
- Right to Erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
- Right to Object: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 8. We will respond to your request within 30 days. Note that because we collect very minimal personal data (only anonymized analytics), most requests will result in confirmation that we hold no personally identifiable data on you.
6. CCPA Rights (California Residents)
If you are a resident of California, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of personal information we have collected from you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: LensText does not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third parties.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the limited information we do collect (primarily anonymized analytics data). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Because your files and documents are never transmitted to our servers, the primary security risk for your file data lies entirely on your own device. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system up to date to ensure you benefit from the latest security patches.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to periodically review this page to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
By continuing to use LensText after any changes become effective, you acknowledge and accept the revised Privacy Policy.
